Welcome to Arnthilis, an inland hunter's hamlet rooted in the Kingdom of Valyria.

Origins - The Story

The Devartyrs, a family of nomadic hunters, were aiding Lord William Ælric during the Battle of Tyne River when the head of the family was captured scouting along the riverbank. Instead of abandoning his lost scout, Lord Ælric sent a party to rescue and deliver him to safety. The Devartyrs were quick to pledge allegiance to Lord Ælric, and so, Arnthilis was founded. The Devartyrs planted their nomadic roots in Valyrian soil and unsealed their ancient breeding books to help provide mounted archers for the Lord’s military campaign while also establishing a place of learning to those interested in the pursuits of hunting and archery.

Government and Security

Arnthilis welcomes all new arrivals and aims to protect its citizens with the support of the County of Cambria as well as the local garrison and growing band of hunters and huntresses. Dwellers of Arnthilis closely follow the Constitutio Cambria and all it stands for which offers a solid basis of government, right to thrive and right to participate.

Focus

The hamlet is largely focused around producing mounted archers: through breeding appropriate mounts and developing the skills of hopeful bowmen, it hopes to contribute greatly to the defense of the people of Valyria from horseback.

Regular hunts and excursions based out of the Arn Lodge help to not only hone the aim of prospective hunters but to also sate the need for adventure beyond the protection and comforts of town. The hunt also secures quality materials to help craftsmen of all types develop unique products to be distributed kingdom wide via the Arn's caravansary run by the Lodge.
