Come visit the safe trading haven of Asptuna, a hub rich in people, culture and merchandise alike. Located within the Kingdom of Tryggr, its paved roads are well traveled, perfect for the comings and goings of traders from all over the land. No trader wants to risk losing their wares from attack, that’s why Vaksala priorities’ defence in the protection of its traders.
This is how everyone will know they’ll be safe on their journeys through Vaksala, provided everyone follows a few simple rules.
1st: No fighting! Except in tournaments and regulated bouts.
2nd: No killing! This is a place for safe trade and rest, so all grudges and disagreements must be handled outside the county.
3rd: In Vaksala, curtesy is key to any good trade.
Follow these three simple rules, and everyone can enjoy the peace and safety of a healthy trading hub. You might not leave happy, but at least you’ll still have your life!
The rules are maintained and enforced by the Count’s personal guard, and the military might of the Duchy of Valor Heights. Failure to comply with any of the above rules will result in either a ban of you and all your future business, or a more permanent resolution via swan dive from our own Iron Door.
For all who follow the rules, they’ll find a wonderful place of hospitality for all creeds and races. The sharing of both goods and knowledge is highly encouraged to foster bonds between players from all over the world! But don’t just take our word for it, come as see for yourself, thanks to the rich economy of Vaksala, our shops have the highest quality goods and services money can buy!
So, come to Asptuna, where To’resks haggling with Nerans, Hrotis playing dice with the Janoas and Kypiqs share a meal with the Brudvir, thanks to the mutual agreement and silent acknowledgment of the rules, everyone benefits with full pockets and bellies.
The planned trade route will go from Vaksala to Redbone, in Featherdale, by land and then by water to Dore where rivers will take traders all the way to Runafold in Myrkland. It’s a fairly long journey, but a straightforward one. Quick and easy access to the most vital parts of the Duchy.
But while trade is the overall goal, there isn’t to say there won’t be opportunity to rest, relax and find entertainment. If the traders choose to travel from Vaksala via Brownsage Flats, they will find the smaller city of Pinehorn.
Pinehorn is the place of connections, gossip, festivals and leisure. After a couple of, hopefully, successful days of trade and deals in Asptuna, there is time for recuperation in Pinehorn. Wine and dine. Join the occasional festival. Relax in any of the beautiful bathhouses. Or just enjoy a good nights sleep in any of the many inns. While trade isn’t generally conducted in Pinehorn, it is still a place of tying new connections. Who knows what will happen when you meet these people again in Asptuna?
