That idea just didn't sit well with the developers. The longer they sat around and digested the ideas they decided there was only one thing they could do. They decided it was a waste and expelled it.
If its not in the game I will roleplay it. :) It is a key part to my character(s)

Hmmm I think the developers have touched on the topic of gore, I think they were trying to keep it to a "minimum" so if you walk into a troll cave there won't be human corpses hanging from the ceiling and heads on pikes, but some skeletons and one or two not too gory corpses perhaps. So cannibalism would most likely be too gorey for this game. Sorry = /

Well I would like to see it, even if you had to reach a certain deviant level or it had punishments. Cause I mean if your stuck in the desert and no food... your buddy is gonna start looking tasty. this could be a vehicle to story/talent? There are lots of possibilities for this mechanic.

They have said that it will not be in the game. The words were something like, there are no recipes or planned recipes that can use human parts.
That's too bad. I agree it's nasty but they could have repeated eating cause a disease or something. It would make for very fun stranded island scenarios.
I did write this backstory for another game but never used it. So I am bringing it here with me. It does deal with this topic and how cannibalism could be real if the food supply is gone. I don't necessarily need gore, but I would not mind it. I could be done sort of like wow just with a simple animation to RP with. Cannibalism can indeed be done with taste. From a game mechanics perspective you do. Without the recipe the game doesn't allow you to eat it. Pretty straight forward.
