What Goes on in Vaj’zaris? (VAH-ZAR-EES)

Vaj’zaris stands as the seat of power for Count Teylan Tzayelle and consort Countess Malai Vmaue Tzayelle of Krypshyre.

 Inside our walls you will find a proliferation of the Arts. Poetry, Painting, Music, Acting, and more—the reasons Vaj’zaris is seen as the cultural epicenter of Krypshyre.  We seek to bring the most creative and driven among us to live within our city and help it flourish into the most beautiful city in Elyria.

In addition to that, we could not exist without the backbone of crafters, gatherers, and tradesmen of the realm to help us reach our goal.  Because of this fact, our trade district will be one of the most bustling and unique markets around. If you are a swordsmith, herbalist, merchant, or any other profession, there is a large opportunity for you to make an impact on our society and grow in your own right.

Another staple of the city is our entertainment district; focused on gambling and various other venues for people to cut loose and use their hard earned money for something a bit more...Fun!

Entertainment

The Golden Tooth Racetrack and Casino

A beautifully decorated, giant, multi-purposed coliseum sits tempting its onlookers. Inside, the exotic décor welcomes its guests—encouraging them to explore and play at any of the many gambling stations set up. Various games to accompany the various flavors are shown to be available—cards, dice, and a few maybe some haven't heard of before.

Through giant doors stationed at specified points inside the coliseum, one will find that the center is actually open aired and designed with benches flanking all around the circular space.

A large, round platform sits at the heart of the entire establishment, and locals will tell you that on a good night the Count and Countess enjoy hosting fighting events on it. Surrounding it, though, the dirt appears to have been ran along—the space wide in dimension from the benches to the platform; and the locals inform you that that part of the arena is meant for the regularly scheduled races the Count and Countess host.

Bets are made on entertainment favorites on these highly anticipated days and people walk away only one of two ways...Rich...or broken-hearted.

Vmaue Center of the Arts

A large, sophisticated center for all forms of visual, musical, and performing art. Not a school, but a place to host and show off the amazing talents of various people and organizations. Delicate but intricately beautiful designs adorn the building, and it's clear that the establishment was made to embody the taste of a special someone.

A permanent and rotating art gallery accompanies the forefront of the center. The permanent pieces displayed proudly and seem to maintain a certain trend in their themes. The rotating gallery, you'll hear, hosts a variety of visual artists that work a plethora of mediums. Sometimes it's one artist, sometimes it's many; and on some days the pieces are available for purchase by any lucky patron able to offer the right price.

Nearer to the back of the center, a giant stage-area sits for live events. Theater-style seating is arranged neatly around the platform at the ground level and exclusive booths hang above the lower audience to give honorable guest a better view. Lots of different shows come by this stage, often from local organizations, but traveling troupes have been known to perform from time to time.

The stage is open to entertainment groups, such as dancers, actors, and musicians and the rotating gallery available for sculptors, painters, and all other kinds of visual mediums.

Trade

The Market Center

An extravagant market bustling with merchants from all walks of life surround these seemingly designated shopping space. The products range from food to vanity goods and it's apparent that the majority of options are for the latter. All kinds of exotic materials shaped in unimaginable and some one-of-a-kind ways surround the dazed buyers, teasing them to spend untold amounts of money.

T H I M B L E

A lead in fashion design, Thimble is owned by the Countess Tzyaelle and sells only the latest fashion made by the Countess herself. Designer clothes for all the different levels of society, line of trends are not only richly crafted but also functional and biome appropriate. Various locations of Thimble are available at different parts of Krypshyre, but the biggest line with some of the most exclusive pieces are right here in Vaj'zaris.

The Teylan Bank Line

The larger of a chain of banks within Krypshyre is housed in Vaj'zaris. Decorated just as ornately as the other establishments, and in similar fashion to the series of them all within the county, it stands proudly nearer to the center of the city. Despite being heavily guarded, the design of the bank is inviting and a good sense of security is felt when walking inside. Your money is truly safe there.

Organizations

Order of the Twelve Rings

An intricate temple sits farther away from the hustle and bustle of the city, not secluded but not entirely as a part as the other establishments. A sense of calm and peace washes over the people who draw nearer, and the citizens sometimes see the land surrounding the temple as a quaint place for contemplation and thought. The locals tell you that all sorts of fighting styles are trained there and that people of many skill levels go to train and study under each other. They tell you that there's not a singular style the head-master knows but instead is adept to many different types and the purpose of the temple is to train others in that same way.

Tzyaelle Zoological Research Foundation

A colorful and lively exhibit of creatures, the TZRF located in Vaj'zaris is one of the prides and joy of the city. A part of the organization of the same name, the actual zoo is designed to keep the animals comfortable and yet draw attraction and attention to its audiences. The forefront of the zoo contains all of the interesting animals collected from around various parts of the kingdom. Most are biome exclusives, but there appear to be a few that aren't. And somewhere in the background, behind the scenes, a decently sized research facility with on-call vets for any of the animals on display. Family-fun for all, young and old!
