Welcome dear citizen, neighbours from other kingdoms and travelers from far away lands across the ocean.

We welcome you in our home and invited all of you to celebrate the opening of the Owl Library of Al’Khezam with us.

Travel between the shelves, explore the place between pages and find yourself lost in words. Or bring forth your own works. So they may leave a legacy in these sacred halls of learning for the coming generations. Every Elyrian is allowed entry.

Two weeks have the former, to solve riddles posed by old stories. The latter are given three weeks of time to present a narrative, worthy of being told. Both to earn a handsome reward from the Kingdom of Al’Khezam, should they succeed. Every Elyrian is allowed to enter.

• To those going for feather and ink instead, let me list you a few things. So we may be able to sort your works amongst others.

This competition is for the bard, the writer, the one whose nose is never very far from a book. This is for the hidden Shakespeares (please no E.L..James) amongst us. Are you the one who has stories galore in your mind, just waiting to be written down? Do you engage in fan fiction, short story competitions or are you writing a novel? This is the chance to flex those writing muscles and unleash your hidden talent on the World.

For a chance to win our Super Bonus courtesy of GhettoMaster the Luminary, write a short story between 1000-2000 words as a sequel or a prequel to our riddle. If more than one author submits their story for a chance to participate then, our judges at Al'Khezam will decide the winner.

1. It needs to be a new story, written & posted in the timeframe of the event (from now until Saturday, the 23rd of Feburary 21:00 GMT) on the CoE Forums.

2. Contestants need to post the beginning of their story with a link to the whole story on the Forums in the #owl-library discord-channel on Al’Khezam (in a single message). Also post a comment with the Link on the Tales of the Blind Bard "Sam'uel" - The First Riddles.

3. Contestants need to be able to be messaged via Discord and need to be on Al’Khezam Discord, at the end of the competition, to receive the prize.

4. The winner will be selected by a jury of judges. The judges are not allowed to participate in the contest.

5. Contestants can be disqualified in extreme cases, but we really want to avoid it.
