The Big stat thread

So I was bored thought I'd waste some time doing some stats for you all to enjoy.

Firstly thanks to google docs for creating the ugliest charts I've seen in a while and you can find the google sheets I made them on here:

For a bit of fun:

I know what your thinking 'How much IP is in play' (assuming no one does an add-on to their pledges)

Total IP in play: 3,275,563 (pledge only 2,351,500)

Amount of Thoroughbred's that would buy: 9358.75 (pledge only 6718.57)

Amount of Profession kit's that would buy: 8188.91 (pledge only 5878.75)

Amount of Trisons one could buy with that: 6551.13 (pledge only 4703)

I wanted to do a clever thing and work out how much of the continent that could buy if we teamed up but I completely forgot how to work it out so I used google, so this bit might be wrong (maths people if you can do better i'll edit this).

If they brought the t2 crafting pack (64m2 per-pack): 14558.06 (pledge only 10451.11)

In m2 that would cover: 931,716m2 (pledge only 668,871)

In a 20,000 km continent we would cover 0.93km2 (pledge only 0.67km2) of it. Roughly 0.0047% (pledge only 0.0033%) of it.

New Charts

Change in pledges today

Distribution of Titled vs Un-Titled during Exposition

Where the pledge Money comes from

So I was going to ignore money entirely, but then I wants to add how much IP was being added by people adding to their pledge level to my stats so it kind of just happened.

Cool. Working off your numbers, here's the number of animals that are for sure in play based on pledge levels:

  • 5,331 Mules (for Adventurers and above)
  • 3,627 Pets (for Beastmasters and above)
  • 3,389 Basic Horses (for Early Bird Founders and above)
  • 2,717 Thoroughbred Horses (for Bloodlines and above)
  • Between 586 to 1,611 Ursaphant Mounts (for Early Bird Ursaphant Riders and above, but if I'm reading it right, Barons and above can optionally upgrade it to a War Trison)
  • Up to 1,025 War Trisons (all optional, for Barons and above who don't want Ursaphants).

Looks like we'll have more than enough animals for breeding and such at the start. Yay!

It is amazing that even if everyone had land packs it would still only cover 0.0024% of the area. They are going to need a heavy duty server.

Weird to me that there are so many patrons and so few beastmasters. Even if you got the early bird, that's $25 for an extra spark instead of $30 (only $10 diff for the non-early-birds), plus all the other extras (most notably, the pet, which may or may not include the phoenix option).

It's probably the beta access that interests them the most. I'm guessing Alpha/Beta/Exposition access and nobility titles are what's attracting the most pledges right now. With the phoenix some more people may upgrade to Beastmaster.

Sure, I agree. It just seems weird to me to go ahead and pledge at that level, but then not also go ahead and get an extra spark at a discount, while being rewarded with a free pet for the trouble of saving yourself some cash later.

I love a good stat. Thanks for pulling that together.

I will say I completely forgot how to do the maths (i actually have an A level on it - British education at it's best) in order to work this out, so I used google it could be wrong.

Good post +1,

Question, is that last chart in order? The Betas aren't after the exposition.

5/19/2016 5:18:42 PM #10

In terms of time yes but you need to pay more for access to the exposition not at my pc so cant see what they were but check the KS page

Okay, so its just sorted by numbers largest to smallest, got it! Thanks, great post sir!

Yea as TheClass said, for some reason it costs more to get into exposition or whatever it is called than beta. I'm not totally sure if that ever was explained why, but seems odd... People will be playing beta and then have to wait 3 months randomly to start playing again if they haven't pledged for the 3 month headstart.

5/19/2016 5:39:11 PM #13

@Gdg224

Because Alpha and Beta will get a reset, the 3months exposition not. It also allows the nobles to prepare for the incomming players.

5/19/2016 5:42:16 PM #14

But what's the point of signing up for Beta if you aren't going to be in the exposition? Which is afterwards. Still seems odd to me.

Edit: I'm pledged at Alpha 1, so it really doesn't matter to me but I still wondered.

5/19/2016 6:18:51 PM #15

Beta isn't the complete game. It'll be stress testing and maybe some specific things they ask players to do. The exposition is the complete game, you have access to everything.

Also numbers:

Beta2:$50+

Beta1:$90+

Exposition: $120+

Alpha2: $175+

Alpha1: $350+
