Greetings, Elyrians, I bring fair tidings to thee,
A year ago next month we took a big leap and ran our Kickstarter. It was chaotic, it was scary, but our efforts were rewarded with a community of like-minded individuals joining us in this journey and directly contributing to the success of Chronicles of Elyria! In honor of that momentous occasion, we are going to be running a series of promotions through the month of May with a little something for everyone.
We wouldn't have been able to hire the awesome team we've collected over the last year without you, so we want to say thank you to the folks that have supported us early on. To celebrate, we'll be giving existing backers the following gifts, based on total amount spent on pledge packages. This is for anyone who has a fully paid-off pledge package by 10AM PDT on May 1st, before the Anniversary Promotion begins!
Rewards will be applied after Account Merging but before Domain Selection. That means if you currently have more than one package, spread across more than one account with the intent to merge them later, and that merge would put your total into a higher tier listed below, then you can expect to receive the reward commensurate with the total merged value. More on that further down the post.
Below is what existing backers can expect (not cumulative):
Please be aware, the packages listed above are in addition to the packages you already own. They can be claimed on your primary account as a way to add value to your existing pledge packages (see below on merging), or they can be gifted to a friend so they can join you in your adventure.
Kicking off this celebration, we are offering a 10% discount on ALL pledge packages during the month of May! Settlement & Domain Selection is coming up and we want to encourage folks to get the most out of their layaways by completing them before selection occurs. In addition, if you were on the fence or sad that you missed the Kickstarter, it isn't too late to stake your claim in Elyria! Anyone who gets a package outright or finishes off their layaway this month will do so at the discounted price until June 1st at 10AM PDT.
At the same time, we are going to be giving 100% More Influence for anyone who has used your friend code and buys their first package in May. In other words, you'd receive 100 Influence and $10 store credit, instead of 50 and $5! This will only last until June 1st, so if your friends and guild mates have been dragging their feet, now's a great time to hold those feet to the warm, cozy fire that is Chronicles of Elyria!
Starting in the second week, we'll be running a 10% off sale on all Exposition Points items and introducing a limited-time EP Pack worth 3,000 EP for $200 - our best deal yet!
Exposition Points will be used during Exposition - the three months leading up to Launch - where players will be able to customize their settlements and put their imprint on Elyria. When new players come in at Launch, the governments, shops, and organizations they encounter will be the ones that players in Exposition created. Each server and settlement will be as unique as the players who live there! Expect a post with some additional guidance on what your EP will afford you during this week, as well.
If you've purchased EP packages before May 1st, never fear! All previously purchased EP packages will be receiving a 10% boost to their EP for buying early! And while the 10% discount ends in June, the additional 10% for your previously purchased EP packs is yours to keep!
But wait, there's more!
It has always been our plan to allow Guild Members and Town Residents a way to share the burden with their leaders through Guild Tokens and Villager Tokens, rather than put the entire onus of responsibility on the leader. For the last two weeks of May, we want to encourage more collaboration for settlements and organizations by running two raffle contests: one for Villager Tokens and one for Guild Tokens.
Players will be able to give their tokens to another player account starting the third week of May. We'll tally everything up at the end of the month and list the results, but we won't know who will win the prize until server selection is done because there will be a winning settlement and winning organization on each server. Once server selection is completed a little later in development, we will select the winner from the raffle pool and announce the recipients of the prize, now locked in on each server. Each token exchanged is an entry into the raffle. The winning settlement and winning organization will be based off of its leader, the player who receives the token.
So that you will know exactly what you'll be influencing with your tokens, expect a write-up on how they work in much more detail in a couple weeks.
It's a surprise! We are keeping mum on the last promotion until it goes up in the fourth week of May. We're pretty sure people will be pleased, but you'll have to wait to find out... ^_^
We will be adding functionality to be able to merge accounts and gift packages to other accounts before Settlement / Domain Selection. Some folks have already purchased an additional package for a friend or spouse or themselves across multiple accounts, since there can only be 1 package per account in the current system. Here is what happens in each scenario:
If you have multiple packages with the intention of combining everything into one mega-account, here is what you'll get:
If you have multiple packages with the intention of giving it to another player in it's entirety, here is what happens:
If you have a package but wish to give all your titles and lands to another player, there will be an opportunity to do so before Settlement & Domain Selection. Here's what would happen:
NOTE: This is not the same as willing one of your titles to another player. Willing a title to another is done after Settlement & Domain Selection and you will still be responsible for picking your domain and/or settlement before willing them to another.
For example, if you want to have a county but give a friend your duchy, you'll do this after you've selected the lands.
NOTE: All of these promotions will end at 10AM PDT on June 1st.
Whether you backed us during the Kickstarter, got a package later from our online store, or are just hearing about the game for the first time, there is something for everyone. We've all been working hard to make this dream a reality and we want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts and welcome you into our community!
Honored to be traveling alongside such brave and noble souls,
Vye
Might be a good idea to remind people about this since it should be available sometime after voting concludes:
Is this not happening again this year? 2nd anniversary and all. Just wondering.

Only the Dev's know. If it is happening this year it will happen SOON tm
Glad to see this.
Thanks for update Esoba.
Have all the bonuses been handed out? Just wondering because I didn't get mine. Should I submit a support ticket?
Posted By Iryano at 10:08 AM - Tue May 01 2018
No not yet. Here's a quote from Caspian yesterday.
Last night: [6:32 PM] Caspian: Heya all. Today was sprint planning for release 0.3.0 and I was in meetings most of the day. I spent the rest of the day helping onboard our newest engineer. So, I wasn't quite able to validate the Kickstarter Award script and I don't like doing things like that right before leaving for the day, so I'll work on getting that to you guys tomorrow.
Posted By Esoba at 10:44 AM - Tue May 01 2018
Thanks Esoba. I missed that
Posted By Iryano at 10:08 AM - Tue May 01 2018
Unless I missed something I don't think they came out yesterday. I imagine there would be some sort of announcement when they did.
Rewards are coming Monday!
Well Merging occurred recently and we aren't at domain selection yet. The OP said we would get these bonuses between those two events. so.........SOON™.
Lol Our most favoritest answer.
Lol Our most favoritest answer.
Do we know when we'll get these bonuses yet?
Posted By Iryano at 02:09 AM - Thu Apr 26 2018
Bloody good question. I keep forgetting about the bonuses until it gets brought up again.
I only remember because I want to gift the package to a friend so they can play!!
I only remember because I want to gift the package to a friend so they can play!!
Just tagging so I can find again ;p
Is it allowed to have multiple accounts after domain selection? Is it allowed to have multiple accounts after release?

You can have all the accounts you want, if you think you will have the time to manage all of them. Though it also depends on what packages you are seeking, at that stage of time they may be taken down from the Store already. Case in point, Nobility and Aristocracy pledges.
I have a question. I backed during the Kick Starter. But when I look on my account it states I have no package. I'm a bit confused. Any explanation or help would be appreciated.
Posted By Vye at
Is there a guessed date for this? Especially: will it be in May or after May? Because, if its in May, I could use the reward to pay off my layaway. If its after May, actions by me are required^^ Would just like to know it.
Actions by you may be required. I don't think they will do merging until after the sale is done so that they have a more solid count on who is going to be taking part.
Hello to all the community!
There's something I can't get right:
Let's say I want to apply for a count pledge. What size my settlement would ever be? 150? 75? Based on my IP and picking/selection? What's the maximum a count could ever get his hands on?
You are talking about a possibility of merging 2 titles and getting 2x on the settlement size but I am confused. Am I missing something?
Posted By V3nom at 10:04 AM - Tue May 02 2017
Hi there - it's based on your IP picking order to some extent (since that determines which county you pick) each county iirc has a number of settlements based around an average urban population orf 250 - meaning you can have in your county anywhere from 1 capital to 10 villages (or if you're really unlucky 25 hamlets).
Realistically speaking counts in the middle of the picking order (and assuming no other factors) will probably get a town (75 people)
When talking about getting a double sized domain/settlement, the reference is to the number of land plots contained in them.
A hamlet is so designated when it's a minimum of 3 plots of land, a village at 9 plots, a town at 25, city at 49 plots, and capital at 81 plots.
As the Mayor/Baron/Mahistrate/......et al, you will have the largest number f of these pots under your direct control as owner, so if you have a x2 settlement, you will have a minimum of double the above outlined minimums to govern.
The size of Kingdoms, duchies and counties, will also follow these lines for merging, but I think those will be a fair bit more variable in size.
Thats good to hear since i do get my payment at the end of the month.
It lasts until 2017.6.1 at 10am PDT. All promotions this month are cumulative, with each lasting until June 1st.
Got a question does the 2k EP package last until 31.05 or is it only for one week?
Just looking forward to a game that isnt a korean grinder or a cash grab like BDO, Riders of Icursis or Revelation Online. Hope they open beta soon

No promise about that. I'm not a KS backer so don't know how this work.
So .. I backed a Kick starter last may- I created an account here as well.. I haven’t kept up with much going on here, but got an email about overall pledges and stuff being on sale and bonuses etc.... So I log on the account here- and review it ... it says 0 influence-
When I look at Kick starter page it says start with (more than 0..)? ( no clue what influence it is or why I will use it. but seems like something good to have around.) _
So how do I get the site here - to match my kickstarter pledge?
Only ask because if I were inclined to do more or increase anything- it would be helpful to see what I already have.
Posted By Tuffon at 10:03 AM - Mon May 01 2017
You should have received an Email several months ago so that you could attach you Kickstarter pledge to your forum account. If you didn't get it in your email, check your junk mail. Otherwise you might have to contact support.
Thanks!...
Found it buried in the folder i move stuff to for this game.
hey when are the sale prices going into affect
Good morning!
Tried to purchase an 'Elyrian' package this morning (c. 8am Central time.) The checkout processes reflected a $40 price tag all the way through to payment processing. I'm guessing the "sale" prices aren't yet effective.
Would you guys kindly give me a heads-up when the sale prices are up-and-running?
Thanks! :)
10 AM PST, you're a few hours ahead so, should be about 2 pm Central?
Is this game EVER going to be launched or just keep asking for more money?
It's an MMO and they only kickstarted a year ago. :)
Yes to both. They need money to finish and launch the game. Plus they're offering amazing deals :)
Greetings :) Happy kick-versary!
I'll get the bloodline pack once the special offers start. So, I hope we all can have an amazing time soon!
-Sorry for my bad English, don't judge me. -
Week 4 - New Website v3!!
Sweet gift ^^
Does this mean we get KS rewards?
Awesome News and Happy Kickstarter-versery!
Question: "Rewards will be applied after Account Merging but before Domain Selection."
I'm assuming this won't happen in May so I could upgrade the reward package to take advantage of the 10% discount. Cause that would make this doubly awesome. I know call me greedy. ;)
I would take my reward settler package and make it a Courtier if I got to take advantage of the May discount. Would only upgrade it probably Mayor possibly magistrate if I couldn't take advantage of the May discount with reward packages.
Giving the rewards in May would lead to more money from me (and probably others).
This is going to be great~
Yo, i feel like this game is going to be for rich kids, or is my English just so bad that I misread something?
Posted By HandsomeKirito at 1:08 PM - Sun Apr 30 2017
Just like in real life inequality is supposed to exist. This game is trying to remake a low fantasy, as if it where sorta like the real world. With out inequalities there wouldn't be any way for a character to progress though a great capitalist government in the game. if people started from scratch it'd be basically the same thing, except not decided with money you invested in the game. The game needs inequality, Money spend vs will, people that just thrown the money anyway would be coup'd fast or something else fast, if they where not to have a following.
Posted By HandsomeKirito at 1:08 PM - Sun Apr 30 2017
No, you somehow missed that you can buy just the base game for around $40 and be a commoner and shape your own destiny. I am sure the majority of people that play will do just that. These boards tend to be filled with the people that pledged large amounts of money to help get the game made and thus are the players that are of the ruling class.
No game could possibly survive by just having a group of "rich kids" be all the players.
Posted By HandsomeKirito at 10:08 AM - Sun Apr 30 2017
Yo - you didn't misread - you just didn't educate yourself enough about the facts
it is projected that:
around 1% - 2% of the player population will START as Nobility (your 'rich kids" if you like - ALL can, and many will, lose their their positions with time)
another 2% -3% will START as Aristocracy ("middle class if you want to carry on assigning labels - ALL can, and many will, lose their their positions with time)
the HUGE majority, 95%, will be your 'normal' player who will spend $30 about every 8 months or so ($3.75 or so every month - WAY less than most subscription models)
there will be NO cash shop that gives any kind of advantage
so basically the 'normal' player can enjoy the game in multiple ways, including having a blast taking away stuff from the "rich kids", or he can spend time lamenting that the game is pay to win, unfair, should be free, blah blah. blah
You choose by order of influence.
10 influence = 1$ spent on the game, so, the more you pay, the best is your placement during selection
Otherwise, it's just like DleaTherus said.
Server Selection is NOT the same as Domain Selection
Server Selection is choosing, and locking in, which server you will play on EU, NA-E. NA-W, APAC The order in which players commit to a specific server is in order of when their pledge was fully paid off, with earlier fully paid off pledges going first (this will apply to kings - not sure how/if it applies to dukes/counts)
Domain Selection comes after Server Selection and is the choosing and locking in of a Domain (a kingdom/duchy/county) on a specific server The order in which players get to choose their domain is based first upon tier (Kings, then Dukes, then Counts), and within those tiers it is further segregated by IP (with date of pledge being the tie-breaker if needed)
the following is purely speculative on my part, but is my take on what needs to happen before we can get to Domain Selection, and please note some of the items might have already been accomplished but we aren't aware of them (like map generation) The order of some things might vary also (website 3.0.0 might be deployed before Server Selection etc)
Posted By Dleatherus at 4:02 PM - Sun Apr 30 2017
Thanks a bunch! But the second part of the questions persists, since Vye mentions 'tally everything up at the end of the month' and 'server selection (...) a little later in development'. Is there a reason to delay the server selection past May, since it's lack seems to cause issues with selling different tiers?
Posted By Dleatherus at 4:02 PM - Sun Apr 30 2017
Got a question, i tought the ppl who have paid the most will get to choose first.
Posted By Aika at 07:06 AM - Sun Apr 30 2017
for Domain Selection yes - those who paid the most have the most IP, and within their respective King/Duke/Count tiers, will choose their domain before those with less IP
for Server Selection my understanding is that regardless of how much IP a King has, Kings will commit to a server in order of the date which their monarch pledge was fully paid off, with the earliest date going first
This is great, I'll be able to gift my Elyrian pack and bring another buddy into the game! :)
I love the promotion, but I did notice a peculiarity with how the process is structured -- I and countless others will be receiving bonus Store Credit "based on total amount spent on pledge packages" after the conclusion of the sale.
Would it not make sense to hold the sales for Weeks 2 & 3 (and possibly 4) after Account Merging and the crediting of the bonus Store Credits?
Posted By Vye at
This right here sounds awesome!
But erm... what happens if that settlement gets burned to the ground in the meantime? (it is the sandbox game) :)
thanks SBS
was just wondering about merges and how they would work
yay, this is all great news. However, I am a little confused with getting boni twice.
so... I have bought the old bloodline for 120 and layawayed merchant for +30 (150 total). I got 5 by finding someone that used my friendcode, so I am at 125 if you want to call it so... when I get my 10%, I should get 12.5, which would put me at 137.5, which is higher than the layawayed price of merchant 150-15=135 in may... so I dont need to pay for anything anymore if I just want to upgrade to merchant (which I guess wont work as we get the 10% store credit after may)...? So the intention is, my layawayed merchant goes down to 135 in may, I invest 10, get it and afterwards get 13.5 to spend on EP or whatever? which wont work as afaik there is no way to spend 13.5... cant they just directly be exchanged to EP? or do I only get 10% discount for the missing amount of my layaway, which would be only 2.7 (i am actually at 120 +3/30 merchant)... so, where is the discount applied? to the full price of merchant or only to whats left by layaway? or do I get discount for merchant so merchant is at 135, so I pay 10 and afterwards merchant is worth 150 and I get 15 store credit? If so, I still cant pay for anything with 15, just like with 13.5... so please allow to make any store credit thats left into EP.
and whats special with week1 if all thats listed at week1 stays for the whole month?
Fantastic news and promotion!!
Happy Kickstarter Anniversary SBS
I've got a question concerning Pledge Upgrade: So I pledged Adventurer during KS and am planning to upgrade to Bloodline. I would like to do so with layaway, but Caspian said: “Settlement and domain selection is coming very soon. I will stress, make sure you get your layaway stuff paid off next month. That would be a good month to do that in. We’ll just leave it at that.”
I already fully pledged my 40$, so if I buy Bloodline now via layaway I should still be able participate in Settlement and domain selection, even if I don't complete the layaway by then, right? And how long will layaway last?
Florin, sorry to ask, where are you from ?😎
Posted By Florin at 10:43 PM - Sat Apr 29 2017
Until you complete payment for a backing package, you will not be considered to have it. As such you will be considered an adventurer until bloodline is fully paid up.
Discounts for layaways will only apply for those completed in May.
We don't have a guaranteed date for selections yet, but SBS are encouraging us to wrap up pledges, so do bear in mind at any point they may announce that key date.
Posted By Oracle at 3:14 PM - Sat Apr 29 2017
Caspian said that because of the May promotion he already knew was coming and it would be easier to pay off layaway in May. Domain & Settlement Selection is coming up, but it won't be at the end of May. You still have time to layaway, but you only get the sale price in May!
Posted By Vye at 12:41 AM - Sun Apr 30 2017
I'm slightly puzzled by the terminology and chronology, so I hope you don't mind my question. Is 'Domain Selection' the same as 'Server Selection'? And if so, is there a reason to delay it any further (especially past May), since it's lack seems to cause issues with selling different tiers?
Posted By Vye at 11:41 PM - Sat Apr 29 2017
Makes good sense :) I'll edit that to clarify. Thanks Vye.
Posted By Vye at 11:41 PM - Sat Apr 29 2017
oh man Vye I thought we was friends? why shoot me like this :'(
very nice. Thank you Vye
Great stuff. Some exciting times ahead!
Hi Vye, you just forced me into buying Mayor package because of this news! haha just kidding. Love you.
Is that backer bonus chart based on payment for packages only, or all in store purchases? Sounds like packages only, but it would be nice if villager/guild tokens and EP counted toward your total, I don't want to be aristocracy or nobility, but I wouldn't mend spending a bit more on other things for those rewards
Thank you for your extreme generosity! With each update my desire to have the full game in my hands increases more and more.
This post is made of awesomeness :) I shall be hogging some more EP, thanks Team!
Not that it has any relevance to anyone on my budget, but are all the available King/Queen packages sold out because we hit the maximum of kingdoms the game can accomodate?
This will be very cool month. Glad i finely got trough the atrocities of xsolla payment system, And got the rest of my pledge payed off in time.
Really cool
I'll be playing a vintner so having a lot of land is probably going to be pretty important to me. I'm seriously considering purchasing a second mayoral title for the double land size and EP. But is that the best use of the funds? I could alternatively upgrade to a magistrate and get the furnished villa which I assume saves a lot of money but we don't know the value of the villa plus being fully furnished(?). A big part of the equation we don't have is how does land expansion work after launch, maybe I missed the dev diary on it? I'm sure i could buy up that land in some way with in game funds... but is it going to be really expensive for another settlement? Would I have to buy up the pieces of the neighboring settlement parcel one piece at a time? Do I buy them from my count or can he grant them to me? Or perhaps it might be best to wait until the second week of May to spend $200 on the 3000EP packages to get a significant increase to my starting settlement, but until we know what can be bought with EP I can't really know whether or not I should wait until May or do it before May so I can get all that plus the extra Elyrian package and $10 store credit.
hmm...25 extra villagers or double the land +1000 EP or furnished villa +2000EP or 3000 extra EP and 5 villagers... Have they released any detailed information on how villagers, land purchase/expansion after domain selection, or the new EP store works? I want to make an informed decision on how I'm going to spend this $250 more I didn't know I wanted to spend.
Posted By Davepoleon at 10:42 AM - Sat Apr 29 2017
It certainly feels like the cart has been put well before the horse. Why hasn't this been better defined at this juncture so people can know the value of what it is they're purchasing? Even if it's not an exact pricing, offer some context, like an EP range for common things that'll be in game - land, homes, furniture, pets, mules, gear, etc.
Can anyone at CoE offer any guidance on this?

For the guild and villager token raffles, what if we are the head of our guild and are the head of our village?
I'd love for both things to happen to me, but I can't transfer either of them to myself.
I'd also like to thank the team for clarification on the transference of titles and items, there was still a lot of confusion since the Settlements Q&A about how it'll work and this is very reassuring to a lot of us who have friends wanting to give away their titles from their main accounts.
We love you guys/gals. You know this...yes? :)
"The winning settlements are guaranteed to have a major story event occur in their settlement!" No thanks, I choose life.
Posted By Scheneighnay at 4:00 PM - Sat Apr 29 2017
Congratulations! A serious plague has started in your settlement, enjoy this major story event.
@Scheneighnay LOL
I can't help but feel 2 days is asking people a bit much, It's short notice, and yes you didn't have to do any of this for us in the first place, I don't think is a smart move.. Why the choice to exclude layaway backers? Monies gone towards their pledge and is nonrefundable so even if they cancelled the layaway they'd still be able to put those funds towards a lower package.
Or give them until land selection (with ample notice) to pay it off, I dunno, we were just talking in discord prior to the Q&A how things are just DROPPED on the community with little to no warning and putting people in a frenzy/panic.
Posted By Lunaus at 1:05 PM - Sat Apr 29 2017
Layaways aren't excluded - their pledge becomes 10% cheaper throughout the entirety of May - which is nothing to turn your nose up at.
Posted By Lunaus at 07:05 AM - Sat Apr 29 2017
I kinda agree, to a point. I think, if you have a layaway package paid up to a level that you'd have gotten a bonus, if you bought that level of package, you should get that bonus, even if the total package isn't paid for, since, as you said, there is no refund on what you've paid into the layaway already.
But I don't have any problem with them saying that you need to have the package paid for by xx date to get the bonus either, even on short notice.
But, yeah, rewarding the amount you've spent so far would be a better path to customer good will than making it only for fully paid packages.
Posted By Rothie at 08:29 AM - Sat Apr 29 2017
just to clarify we are talking about paying off layaway's per the Q&A on 4/27/2017. If so they said pay off by next month, so that would be 33 days. (32 as of today)
Posted By Iccubus at 07:39 AM - Sat Apr 29 2017
Sorry, this is regards the anniversary rewards program, per Vye's post: This is for anyone who has a fully paid-off pledge package by 10AM PDT on May 1st, before the Anniversary Promotion begins!
Posted By chipla at 08:32 AM - Sat Apr 29 2017
I agree, that makes things easier for those who may be struggling (or encourage people to buy higher). I just meant for the rewards for any who are interested in them.Posted By Iccubus at 08:39 AM - Sat Apr 29 2017
No, talking about the bonuses to those who've completed their layaway by May 1st.
Sounds awesome, I'm very excited to found out what's happening for the fourth week.
Should not this game be for free after all the donation you got from players? I mean package should cost money, but the game itself should be free entirely.

I have competition
Posted By TrueEvolution at 10:26 AM - Sat Apr 29 2017
I mean, I'm usually against a game of beat the retard.
But really, if you actually knew a single thing about this game, you would realise that it's not designed to allow little beggars to come and play it. The whole premise of the game is so that every action means something, letting people play for free because they don't want to pay for things completely removes that. And don't get me started on your fucking 'you paid so I don't have to stance' I think we have all found the guy who won't pay for any part of a meal because you ate more.
"True Evolution", if evolution was centred around inbreeding most likely.
Posted By TrueEvolution at 05:26 AM - Sat Apr 29 2017
Hmm, So I pledged money so you can play for free? I didn't know we were such good friends.
Don't you just love it when someone just joins and makes one post and it's something like this. Sigh. I mean of all the cool things mentioned in the game, this is the only thing thats post worthy to him.
Posted By TrueEvolution at 11:26 AM - Sat Apr 29 2017
Says someone who doesn't want to pay and take benefit from those who did.
Anyway, great news.
It could be fun if the "The winning settlements are guaranteed to have a major story event occur in their settlement!" is in fact a monsters attack ^^
Posted By TrueEvolution at 10:26 AM - Sat Apr 29 2017
Last time I checked I wasn't donating money, I was paying for a package in the game - which included access to the game, a town, a county and a duchy all of my own. I paid that money cause a) I wanted to play this game and b) I wanted the associated package rewards.
Regardless of whether I wanted this game to be free (I don't) SbS needs money to continue the development of the game, pay their employees, and to recover their sizable personal investments in the game (over $1m). Corporations aren't charities (see Dodge v. Ford Motor Company (1919) for why) and frankly SbS' income model is actually pretty good for the consumer.
You are not entitled to the services and labour of another without paying for it. If you don't want to buy the game that's fine, but you won't get to play the game either.
Posted By TrueEvolution at 02:26 AM - Sat Apr 29 2017
Why? becuase people back the game? that isnt how companies work they still have to make money on this and the money for the game is going to development,

Hm... weeek 4... maybe an EP store? I don't know, just throwing it out there. Whatever it is, I'm sure it'll be great :D
Hey, that's pretty good.
cool
I want to use my 10% store credit to get the game for a friend... during the 10% discount time. Is there anything I should know before I do this? I see the influence will go to me, but will this be invalid:
100% More Influence for anyone who has used your friend code and buys their first package in May. In other words, you'd receive 100 Influence and $10 store credit, instead of 50 and $5!
?
When a friend uses the friend code to buy a package, they get the IP and EP associated with the purchase, and you get a small bonus amount of IP and a store credit. If you buy the package for them, you get the full, IP and EP and they get none. so you are correct in saying that the statement is invalid.
A fairly quick synopsis:

LOOOOOOOOT, ahem, deep breath, LOOOOOOOOOOOOT.
A bit gutted about the 3k EP deals though. I've missed out buying EP early. Nm eh.
Last week of May, something huge is happening. No idea what though.
I can't wait to see week 3 though, we should have an audition show for each major org/settlement.
With three judges: A snarky British one, a lenient kind one, and a soft spoken judgmental one.

Heeey I object. Why does the British one have to be snarky? Lol

Haha. He's clearly not happy :D
All indicators are pointing in that direction, coupled with 'Pay off your layaways....soon' bit from Caspian. It's safe to assume, Maulvorn
So this is another hint that landselection is coming may?

Definately not :)
The events are happening throughout May, before land selection. That would put selection at June earliest ;)
EDIT.. unless perhaps that last week? Lol
Thank you so much, SBS!
It's been a great year. Looking forward to adding value to the community in the years to come! Your generosity is much appreciated.
Wow so awesome!
Huzzah ! Thanks for all your hard work soul bound, Glad to have been apart of the kick starter and I look forward to the members to come
The community event for the 3rd week sounds really nice ;)
I'm looking forward to it too! It will be the first official in game lore about community members, great idea
A year already. Gosh how time has flown.
Just a thought... how will players be able to plan for week 3 yet? Most including myself are uncommitted to towns / locations, until section has been done. The biome and tribe, as well as geography plays a big part for many of us.
Surely this just means that only gaming guilds and those with rigid plans who don't care about location will be positioned to benefit?
We would otherwise be dishing out $10 tokens to town owners with no idea if we were actually going to settle with them. Those that approached me previously with a view to settling in my county in some cases said they wanted to wait for selection to check it was as planned. In others I advised them the same thing myself. We can't advertise for residents for X town in X location until we have that selected..
Presumably tokens can still be exchanged after this?
