At it's core, the County of Gal'Ikar, within the Duchy of Shadowdale, is loyal to King Thared Richfort and Duke Gregory Knoob both, with a broad focus on alchemy, research, agriculture and economics. Each of these focuses coincide, with alchemical research producing new methods to improve our agriculutre processes; Or perhaps, new technology, made for agriculutre, which makes producing alchemical herbs and reagents all that more seamless. And what would we do with all of these products, but use them to increase our economic standings?
Everything, and everyone has a place and a purpose with us here. Each person has their own goals and objectives, but together we can realign these goals in support of each other, ultimately pushing for the County goals as well.
While the exact origins of the County of Gal'Ikar has been debated upon by historians and scholars, many will agree that it originated with a particularly inventive, young Lord. At the time, tales had begun to sprout about a large lizard, an over grown alligator in some stories, or perhaps a basilisk, if other stories are to believed. Reports indicate that the creature had been terrorizing the region of Stormtellers Arch, slaughtering livestock, pets, and occasionally, a child that had wandered too far from home.
Beset with the growing threat of war, and a drought causing economic crisis in some regions of the Duchy, the then Duke of Shadowdale dispatched Lord Dragual Monarth, a renown physician and alchemist to tend to the needs of the people. With no more than his herbalist kit and a rapier at hand, Lord Monarth arrived in a County in disaster. The former Count and Countess, beloved by their people, had been claimed by the very same beast. Three months, the young Lord had stayed in the region, investigating the creature and tending to the sick and wounded as more and more rumors of it sprouted.
After studying the creatures hunting habits, the Lord devised a plan. He met with the sharpest minds in the County, the most brilliant alchemists and hunters both. Together, they concocted a trap to poison it, and laid it out were they knew it would most likely strike next. Hiding in wait, with a few livestock from the region, they watched the creature approach. As it did, the device sprung, catching its leg and piercing its thick hide with poisoned, serrated blades. When the beast was afflicted by the poison, the hunters and the Lord rushed out, blade in hand to slay it completely.
In their triumph, the Duke of Shadowdale had granted the County to the Lord, naming him Count Dragual Monarth, of the County of Gal'Ikar, so named after the very beast he had slain. Since then, the County has remained true to a devotion to alchemy and research, ever planning their next move, rather than rushing into the maw of the beast.
1 - At the core of our mission, we want to ensure that Gal'Ikar has resounding economic growth, and to ensure that every, hard working citizen has a chance to be free of poverty.
2 - In support of our first goal, no place is home unless the people in it feel safe and comfortable from threats and danger. To this end, we aim to keep our roads free of bandits, and to keep out cities free of crime.
3 - No less important, the County of Gal'Ikar aims to fund education and to focus ourselves on research and development. Technology is critical to the growth of a civilization, and we should be at the forefront of expansion.
Our vision is to establish a series of settlements focused on and in support of research, technology, and education. Economically, we're centered around alchemy and agriculture, in support of our vision. In the end, we're hoping to be innovators, united and dedicated to driving alchemical research forward to new heights. Success for us would be being among the firsts to develop alchemical wonders, the likes of which haven't been seen in any other domain. Further, our mission is to establish an atmosphere of trust and loyalty in a proactive community.
Above all things, we need virtuous, dedicated citizens who will not relent in their pursuit of the County's goals, along with their own goals. All professions will be needed, however we currently have a focus on scribes, researchers, teachers and the like. In support of that, we need land owners who intend to supply paper goods, herbs, potions and things of that nature.
Further, we're also hoping to invite guilds, and those who wish to spark and inspire guilds to come set up and focus themselves here, first. Particularly, we're hoping to find merchant and academic guilds in our homes, along with some mercenary guilds to protect our roads.

Can you explain what you mean by Goal 3? Specifically the part that says, "No matter your social class, a hard-working citizen should be allowed to live without worry of finances."
Essentially, one of our goals is to make it where even those who are "poor" won't be starving on our streets. We want to provide every opportunity for people who work hard and contribute to our County just like everyone else to earn enough wages to be able to sustain themselves comfortably.
I like what you're trying to build here and would love to join and help you make this possible. I'm a mayor and would like to focus on raising animals, but am will to help out where ever.

Goal 3 has been updated. The purpose behind that is more, we want to focus on and support our economic growth. To the point where taxes can be low, and owning land isn't too expensive, but the County has what it needs to continue to grow.
