The Traders Federation is a federation of various independent traders from all professions and classes ranging from a humble cobbler to a Duke wanting to open trade routes.

The Federation seeks to do the following things;

Provide a repository of all the member businesses so they can get easy access to fellow merchants for deals, sales etc..

Provide a singular voice for the member traders

Trade Route (Land and Sea) Creation - members can make trade routes happen between them.

Oversee agreed upon contracts between members

Defending Trade Networks utilised by the Federation

How will it work?

Currently I have a plan of having each member business choose one representative (the manner in which they choose that rep is up to the member) which acts on behalf of that member in the Federation HQ, which would work via rotation on an annual (either weekly or monthly) basis between the Landed members (so those that own lands and have the resources to actually house the Foundation HQ.

Which will most likely be represented via a Guild Hall, after a as of yet agreed upon period the membership will decide who the new trade master will be who then appoints the Lieutenants.

The Hierarchy of the Federation is as follows

Trade Master

Trade Lieutenant (each Kingdom represented in the Federation has a Lieutenant)

Member - Members are eligible to join the Federation if they are a merchant and/or have physical premises on which to do trade.

The Armed section of the Federation is

Trade Master

Mercenary Captain/Admiral - They would be charged with the hiring and maintenance of Mercenaries, caravan guards etc.. they are equal to, but under Trade Lieutenants with each Kingdom having one

Mercenary - Hired by the Captain.
