Hadrac County
As with most counties, we will have a nice peace-loving economically rewarding environment. Of course every group of enterprising individuals comes with some fun loving pranksters, and we are also glad to nurture and support these incorrigible types for the betterment of all in the kingdom.
Governing Style:
Short version is that I’m game for a laissez-faire kinda system where the player mayors and barons can form whatever council they want, or just keep to themselves and focus on the town management. I won’t force cooperation, but I welcome people who share their views (even those that share them at the point of a sword). Player merchants are welcome to set up shop where they find the best profits, and might even compete with the county’s main products, as life would be boring without healthy competition.
The long version is... pending in that I am being advised to not disclose the various maladies, madnesses, and bouts of megalomania that may or may not plague the von Hadrac line.
Production Focus:
My personal hope is for the mass production of crossbows or ranged armaments of a status not unlike a crossbow. Of course the county is also in full support of the medical and alchemical arts. I could also do with a nice theater or two, maybe linked with a bardic college in an allied county. Oh and bars, brothels, and dens of… orderly and kind gentlemen willing to aid with tasks of a discrete nature… yeah I’m hoping our main city will be a fun place for all!
Concerning Matters of Civic Defense:
Military is the domain of the Dukes from what I gather, but that’s ok! Never been much of a soldier myself, and I think the county will have means of alternative defense in those nooks and crannies that the good Duke’s men miss. You can always count on some of Hadrac County’s good ol’ boys to protect our investments.
About the Alliance and Diplomatic Ties:
I’m a part of Gora and Jax’s little(ish) band of blokes, and start off allied with their county of Two Moons. (Linky Here) What this means is… we have friends? Customers? Test-subjects? Friends. We have some friends from the get go, and I’ll be working with them for the benefit of our glorious king and queen. (Note: I personally support Violet and Phyllain’s Campaign, but I’m game to work with whatever head wears the shiny bit of metal that gives them utter dominance over all the land.)
:)
Update: Count Julius Aibek and Jarri are now counted as allies of Hadrac County.
The County's Stance on Religion
Organized religions are welcome to establish chapter-houses in the county, to provide aid for the people and state in matters of the soul. Charitable activity is encouraged and will be supported(economically), as the von Hadracs count themselves as among the charitable Virtori. Though the county seat often entertains The Servants of The Two-fold Queen as guests of the count, for reasons unknown.
Guilds and Other Organizations
The County is always glad to grant land, resources, and influence to guilds that contribute to the count's production goals. Personally, I plan to form a group not unlike rangers (or aforementioned good ol' boys) to monitor and protect our environment, resources, and trade routs. Not exactly official guards, but concerned citizens with an uncanny talent for placing sharp objects into the skulls of distant malefactors.
Deviant Arts
I am being advised: Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
Hadres:
There is a small chance that I’m a metaphor, but I’m mostly a gamer that came from Gora and Jax’s guild back in SWTOR times. With this game I like to take a wait and see approach before making decisions about my land and character (so the short post is by design I swear I’m not as lazy as THOSE people say, really) and much of what I’ve written here may change, be expanded upon, or burned down and danced upon.
Would you kindly donate a Kingdom Token to Hadres?
