What is the Mineral Institute of Technology

The Mineral Institute of Technology formed within The Stormforge, a county where mining, smelting, and blacksmithing are its core focus and identity. You can read more about The Stormforge, and the duchy it resides in, The Anemoi, which resides in the Kingdom of Vornair.

The Mineral Institute of Technology formed as a school to assist the blacksmiths and miners of The Stormforge in training, placement and (if needed) the assistance in establishing a new branch or outpost. They are an integral part of The Forge Bound Association and produce the finest trained in smithing and mining for placement in the associations guilds.

History of the Mineral Institute of Technology

As The Anemoi was improving its techniques to mine, smelt and smith, there became a growing need for consolidation of the many groups’ knowledge and skills in order to continue to improve the quality of their metal goods. The Count of The Stormforge decided to form The Forge Bound Association. One of its core schools formed as the Mineral Institute of Technology, where the smiths and miners of the associations guilds share their knowledge and skills with each other and the school to improve the overall quality of goods produced by any member within the Forge Bound Association.

What the School Offers

Though The Mineral Institute of Technology originally formed within The Stormforge, they strove to expand their influence beyond the knowledge and skills sourced from within their own county, instead reaching out to those with similar ideals in neighboring lands. Representatives were sent out to find skilled smiths and miners with similar goals in mind, asking that they share their expertise to help improve the quality of metal goods for all involved.

The Mineral Institute of Technology takes this knowledge they gain and uses it to develop the skills of its students and to push the research of both blacksmithing and mining techniques and tools.

School Structure

The Mineral Institute of Technology resides in Count Fenris de Lupin’s county capital of The Stormforge. It will consolidate the knowledge learned from The Forge Bound and Valkenburg Mining and Stone Guilds to train new members for both guilds as well as push research forward in both blacksmithing and mining. The institute will be responsible for spreading new knowledge out to The Forge Bound Association’s guild branches as needed as well as seek new information from all guild branches.

Leadership Structure

Count Fenris de Lupin will be the headmaster of The Mineral Institute of Technology. He will consult with a council representative from both The Forge Bound Association, The Forge Bound, and Valkenburg Mining and Stone. These meetings will generally occur at the same time as an official Forge Bound Association meeting as all members on The Mineral Institute of Technology’s council will already be present.

The Forge Bound Association

The Mineral Institute of Technology is the core blacksmithing and mining school for The Forge Bound Association, they work with the other guilds within the Association to grow their knowledge, their skills, and to advance research. The Mineral Institute of Technology contributes much of what it learns through research back out to the guilds under The Forge Bound Association.

Any members that wish to join Mineral Institute of Technology, we are accepting members looking to start off in the game and train up to become a smith or a miner. There will be plenty of spots in the school at expo and launch for players to start their training early.
