About Us
Blackstone Forge Society is an independent player-run smithing guild within the Kingdom of Vornair operating on the North American East (NA-EAST) server, Luna.
Our goal is to provide the means of defence to all members of our community, and to contribute to the common good of The Conclave of Aritaur. To accomplish this, Blackstone will develop an intricate support network of resources and materials to ensure that every member has the means to practice their craft.

We will be located within Drake County, in The Conclave of Aritaur within the Kingdom of Vornair.

Rank 1. Apprentice
Initiate rank, achieved at entry into the guild.
Limited knowledge and resource privileges.
May not recruit new members.
Rank 2. Journeyman
Full member rank, achieved after probationary period under a supervising Journeyman or Master.
Unlimited knowledge and resource privileges.
May recruit new members.
May act in supervisory role for 1 Apprentice at a time.
May promote their Apprentice to Journeyman after probationary period OR after said Apprentice has displayed exceptional competence, skill, and devotion to the craft.
Rank 3. Expert
Full member rank, achieved through dedication to the craft while displaying extraordinary skill and competence.
Unlimited knowledge and resource privileges.
May recruit new members.
May act in supervisory role for 2 Apprentices at a time.
May promote their Apprentice to Journeyman after probationary period OR after said Apprentice has displayed exceptional competence, skill, and devotion to the craft.
Rank 3a. Expert Weaponsmith
Full member rank, achieved through dedication to the craft while displaying extraordinary skill and competence in the field of weapon smithing.
Unlimited knowledge and resource privileges.
May recruit new members.
May act in supervisory role for 2 Apprentices at a time.
May promote their Apprentice to Journeyman after probationary period OR after said Apprentice has displayed exceptional competence, skill, and devotion to the craft.
Rank 3b. Expert Armorer
Full member rank, achieved through dedication to the craft while displaying extraordinary skill and competence in the field of armor smithing.
Unlimited knowledge and resource privileges.
May recruit new members.
May act in supervisory role for 2 Apprentices at a time.
May promote their Apprentice to Journeyman after probationary period OR after said Apprentice has displayed exceptional competence, skill, and devotion to the craft.
Rank 4. Master
Leadership rank/role, achieved by popular vote among sitting Masters.
Unlimited knowledge and resource privileges.
May recruit new members.
May act in supervisory role for 2 apprentices at a time.
May promote their Apprentice to Journeyman after probationary period OR after said Apprentice has displayed exceptional competence, skill, and devotion to the craft.
May petition guild wide contracts.
May petition Journeyman promotions to Master.
May NOT deny resources to ANY member Journeyman or above, with the exception to protect the integrity of stockpiles. The latter is subject to inquiry via other sitting Masters.
Economic Policy
1. Intra-guild commerce
To ensure that all of our members shops remain profitable regardless of geographic location, a policy of intra-guild commerce will be in place. Members in remote settlements are encouraged to sell their wares to members in higher traffic areas. This policy allows those members to hone their craft wherever they may choose while prospering economically, while simultaneously diversifying the product we offer throughout these "high traffic" areas.
2. Resources
As craftsmen, without resources we have no craft. With the merging of our counties certain logistical issues may be encountered in the vast region we now reside. Not every settlement will have equal access to resources, based primarily on distance. To mitigate this, a supply/support network will be established to guarantee a steady supply of materials to all members. This network will tie-in with the policy of intra-guild commerce.
3. Knowledge
All knowledge is to be shared freely among all members of Journeyman rank and above. This will include any and all techniques, methods, and blueprints, provided that these are learnable.
4. Contracts
Contracts in most cases are to be made on an individual basis. It is recommended that no member accept contracts that they are unable to fulfill, however they may request assistance in the fulfillment of said contract. Members of Master rank and higher may petition the guild to accept guild wide contracts pending a vote within the guild. No member, including the GM, may accept guild wide contracts without a vote among Master rank members or members acting as proxy for them. The GM holds veto power over such votes in the case that the contract in question is not profitable to the guild or its members, with the exception of unanimous approval by the other Masters.
