Hail and well met, my fellow Elyrians! It's shiny time!
Last week, we shared the light incarnation of a Janoan suit of armor, so in keeping with our practice, I think it's time to take a look at the concept sculpt for a medium configuration of the same armor. Have a look:
For the Janoa, armor is a bit of a conundrum: They build their sense of worth from their exploits, their bravery, and their strength, but by implication, someone who protects themselves with armor isn't particularly brave. Historically this, alongside the heat and humidity of their home biome, has led them to wear less armor than nearly any other known tribe of mann.
But, as the tribes came into contact with each other, the advantages of armor -- and arguably the very real need for heavier protection -- became obvious even to the most zealous Janoan. Their solution? Make their armor a testament to their past triumphs and accomplishments: Their armors are made from the materials harvested from their hunts. The more armor you see on a Janoan, the more likely they are to be one of the premier hunters and warriors of their settlement.
It also means that Janoans tend have the most distinct armor in any conflict they are a part of.
Enjoy and stay shiny, my friends!
