Since it appears you joined in september, your surname is likely one of the many in a long list of surnames and domain names waiting for approval.
I haven't to this date seen an example of one "falling through the cracks" but because of Domain and Settlement Selection that happened recently they are definitely backed up a bit.
It will get approved/denied eventually, well before it's needed in game or for out of game things like personas, no worries.

I put my surname in months ago and It has still have not been rejected or approved. Are they behind or did my name fall though the cracks?
