Our pledge to the players
We are a kingdom of balance, holding to the principles of both aristocracy and meritocracy, where talented and capable individuals who have proven their loyalty and skill can put their own talents to work for the benefit of the community will be rewarded with greater authority and potentially a place in the feudal hierarchy.
We invite you to come, experience Tyria for yourself, to see if this is a kingdom that you can call home too. We are made up of many individuals, coming together for the common goal of a strong community, the enjoyment of the Chronicles of Elyria and fair treatment of individuals within our kingdom. Whereas the royal duchy encourages roleplay, not all duchies will be doing so, because we know that it takes all varieties of individuals to make a community. So if you are interested in joining, then contact us via Our Discord Channel or the forum through this post.
Please keep in mind we may have to change some areas of this document due to changes that SBS may implement and this should be considered a living and breathing document.

The Councils
The Curia Regis handles the day to day affairs of running the Kingdom. The Curia Ducis is convened on important matters that require the attention of the Dukes.
Note: Advisor Positions are intended for non-Dukes, since Dukes will have their own role to play. Living in the capital city is highly preferred, so nobility may apply as long as they are willing to live at court, which would require delegating some management of their own holdings. Substitute Lady for Lord as appropriate
Lord Steward: Responsible for the Kingdoms economic development
Lord Chancellor: Responsible for the Kingdoms political and diplomatic affairs
Lord Treasurer: Responsible for the Kingdom’s tax collection and distribution
Lord Justiciar: Responsible for overseeing the integrity of the justice system
Lord Scholar: Responsible for overseeing the Kingdom's research and academies
Lord Chamberlain: Responsible for managing the Royal household
Lord Marshal: Responsible for the Royal Army
Lord Admiral: Responsible for the Royal Navy
Positions of Esteem (non-Council):
Lord Protector: Responsible for safeguarding the life of His Majesty the King Lord
Lord Commander: Responsible for leading the royal orders of knighthood

Our People
The People of Tyria enjoy the freedom to explore whatever skills or trades they find most appealing to them. It is believed among the people that each vice must be balanced by each virtue, that either vice or virtue in excess is unhealthy. And so it is, with Greed & Charity. Thus, the People of Tyria are driven to profit both themselves as well as their fellow mann by the works of their hands.
The King’s Justice (pending mechanics from SBS)
Nobles enjoy the right to a jury of their peers (nobles of the same rank)
All capital crimes have the right to a trial (by judge).
Appeals available to the Crown on a case by case basis on recommendation of the Lord Justiciar
