Contest Winner’s thread: Trials of Karcion Part 2

Wanna know what the Trials of Karcion is all about? Here's the contest information!

Submissions in this month’s contest were a little sparse, it gave us some time to gather feedback and think more about the series and ways to improve things, so get ready for January 3rd where we will be presenting Series 3!

The Conclave of Contests presents, the Trials of Karcion community contest winners in “Fa La La La ‘Lyria” art contest & lottery!!

Art Contest: 1st Place

Cultural Winter By Liva from the Selene (EU) Server
Liva presented a wonderful assortment of the different tribes and how they celebrate the seasonal change to winter. Everywhere you look there are small details that really make the piece exciting and fun! As one judge commented, “The artist used a lovely, innovative composition to give a broader, non-tribe-specific view of Elyria in winter.”

Art Contest: 2nd Place

Throne Room of Nirath by Daven in House Wulfstand located in the Kingdom of Nirath
While this piece was not as directly related to the submission guidelines in that it lacked an element of winter festivities/theme, we felt that the piece deserved recognition in its subtle reminder to us on why these contests exist, our community. The wonderful blend of color and texture creates a beautiful overall image of the Throne of Nirath.

Lottery Winners are the following...

The first winner drawn is Fyradeen, from the Kingdom of Vornair, with their depiction of what an “Elyrian Santa” might be!

The second winner goes to Nimueh, of the Musician's Guild, and their subtle yet wonderful photo-manipulation of a winter day!

A HUGE thank you to all for taking the time to participate, your submissions were thoughtful, creative, and (at times) entertaining!

Congratulations to the winners and thank you all who participated! Even though participation was low, we are extremely grateful to those who were able to make time in their busy lives to participate!

We would also like to thank all those who have participated thus far in the November and December contests, in spending your time and creative energy to showcase your skill and bring everyone together in appreciation for the immense talent found in our community!

As we go forward into the New Year, we are excited to see what the coming months of 2018 bring for these contests and the community. The Conclave of Contests would love to get feedback about the contests, what you would like to see in 2018, suggestions for improvement, or if you are interested in joining our small group of community members who help form these contests. Don’t hesitate to reach out to me, Caelestius, Exanix or Narkari or comment on any of our contest threads - we would love to hear from you!

Have a happy and safe New Year!!!
