Promo Items

We revealed the Longest Night last year, and mentioned it again in our Calendar of Promotions and Events. December reminds us to be aware of the countless observances by all cultures and religions across Elyria. In addition to the acts of menn, we're keen to the importance of real world beliefs and thus, our promotion reflects both the current Immortal Vault lore as well as Earthly familiarity.

The following promo items will be eligible for purchase starting on Monday, December 17th through Monday, December 31st at 12pm PST.

After the promo period ends, all of these items will return to the vault.

Whether you are a fortune teller or astronomer or merely a hobbyist, these supplies will help you navigate astronomy and astrology in Elyria. The chart is a mapping of important constellations. The book contains greater detail of the celestial bodies and describes the Elyrian zodiac. The celestial globe is a model of the night sky that will help you locate the constellations any time of year and conveniently fits on your tabletop.

Dryas Elk

A traditional mount for the Brudvir, they are only suitable for temperate to arctic latitudes.

The majestic dryas elk is sturdy enough to act as a mount for a Brudvir, though its temperament is decidedly more ornery than a horse since it is more closely related to goats. Because of this heritage, they can tread across snowy or steep and rocky terrain with fewer penalties. Well adapted to the northern climates, they can subsist on tougher or more toxic fare such as tree branches and pine needles. However, their thick fur means they are not suited to warmer biomes and will quickly tire or die if not able to regulate their temperature. As such, dryas elk should be kept in temperate, sub-arctic, or arctic biomes.

This uncommon quality mount can help cover long distances more quickly as long as you watch out for pteroguin and are careful not to get whacked in the face with their horns!

A medium-sized animal, a single dryas elk is capable of pulling a medium-weight vehicle such as a wagon or ballista. It can also be ridden by a medium-sized character without special tack. Two animals can be used to pull a vehicle one size larger, or a single animal may pull up to one size smaller.

Purchasing this item will allow you to redeem the following Standard-quality (except where noted) items from a vendor in-game:

  • 1 x Dryas Elk

About Dryas Elk:

  • You can send this item to another player once in your inventory
  • There is no limit to how many of these you can purchase
  • Package contents can be claimed once in game

Longest Night Recipes

A collection of winter recipes to warm the body and spirit and make it through the Night.

During the Longest Night, Elyrians have learned to ration their supplies and prepare many traditional treats that make the most of what is available: dried fruits, preserved meats, and other aged or fermented foodstuffs. The Immortal Vault provided a treasure trove of other edibles that grow in the dark, leading to this recipe book that includes traditional fare as well as some new additions that have people glowing.

Recipes included are:

  • Posset
  • Aleberry
  • Apple Raisin Tort
  • Cocoa Bark

Faceless Owl Pet

A trainable pet that can help with hunting during the night or just be a hoot.

The faceless owl, sometimes called the moon owl, is named as such due to its striking white face against its otherwise dark plumage. An effective nighttime hunter, a trained owl can be the difference between life and death during the Longest Night. This pet comes tamed, but not trained.

Purchasing this item will allow you to redeem the following Standard-quality items from a vendor in-game:

  • 1 x Faceless Owl

About Faceless Owl:

Sunsight Fireworks

Help convince the sun to return during the Sunsight Festival. Alchemy skill not included.

During the Longest Night, the Kypiq believe that the sun grew bored and turned away so they need to make a big racket to get her attention again! During the Sunsight Festival, fireworks burst above the forest canopy. Participation is fun, even encouraged, no matter whether you find yourself of Pyqish heritage or not. You'll also gain the recipe to make more of the fireworks, if you know enough alchemy to not blow yourself up in the process!

Twilight Garden Kit

Survive the Longest Night blues by cultivating some lambent leafage that grows in darkness.

The discovery of flora that glows and grows in the dark was considered a great boon to the people of Elyria. Whether kept in the dark, underground, or sown during Longest Night, these plants provide benefits to those who find themselves surrounded by darkness. The only downside to a night garden is that it requires total darkness and even indirect sunlight or too bright of candlelight can cause them to wilt and die.

The petals of the Nightsight Flower have alchemical properties that imbue a person with improved night vision when consumed. Can be brewed or distilled for better effects.

Ghost Ivy has no known alchemical properties, but its traveling vines are excellent at extending light throughout dim basements, caves, vaults, or other dark and enclosed spaces.

Fully grown Ghost Ivy:

Purchasing this item will allow you to redeem the following Standard-quality items from a vendor in-game:

  • 1 x Twilight Garden Kit

Which contains:

  • 1 x Nightsight Flower

About Twilight Garden Kit

Outside of America, people get paid monthly. Why do you wait until the latter half of the month and then cut the date to purchase items until right before many people's pay date? I will likely buy something but I won't be able to get everything as my funds are budgeted to last an entire month. Many countries don't do weekly or bi-weekly salaries SBS. Please consider us and extend your sale until the 5th of the month to be more fair.

How in the world do you survive getting paid monthly? I couldn't even picture such a thing. Mostly cause if something bad happen, like car breaking down, wouldn't you be up shit creek?

All that aside, if that does affect so many people. +1 for you.

the event was necessitated when a monarch stepped down. We want to make sure that is filled in before domain and settlement selection. And the Free Kingdom event was last December. The timing is necessary, good or bad.

Must be one of those screwed up countries like the U.K. Even in Australia we get pay weekly to fortnightly depending on the career.
