The Counti Calethia

Calethia is a sunny spot in the northeast of Darkmoon Vale. Often one speaks of their fertile fields near the rivers or the abilities of their animal breeders. Some from the North also think that the heat gets you upside down and that's why they have so much temperament. Again and again, there are conflicts with the northern counties of Darkmoon vale. In wartime, Calethia does not provide farmers or animal breeders, but warriors. From the Fort as well as from the Garnisson marching Proud Battelcat Lancer, archers and soldiers apear.

As nice as there are here, there is also a downside. Not only the humans are hot-blooded but also the animals. In the wild beasts hide that target on the flocks and waiting for there chance.

The pearl of Calethia, Almourol is the home of the Count River and the Order "The Call". It was once a capital of Tryggr, but that was a long time ago. Due to the location of the county Almourol provides the Duchy with its sea access to various exotic resources from around the world. The history of this city is hidden in thousands small stories, from the Cats Butcher to the old arena on the hill.

Today, however, mostly stories about the order "The Call" are heard in the streets about their exploits and their influence.

The story of the glass princess (Origine of the name Calethia)

This story takes place at a time when the River family were still simple Glassmaker and had not established the County Calethia yet. Even the capital Almourol was a sleepy village. This village was close to a river with the finest sand of the region. The local worker worked for Derrions River day and night. He was a rough mann which honored loyalty and hardworking. In contrast to him, his daughter Calethia was a tender soul.

She loved to run with her siblings through the Fields and the warm sunbeams on her skin. To the displeasure of her father she had the luck to have the beauty of her mother. All too often, her beautiful silver hair, the golden-tanned skin, as well as her bright eyes, twisted the boys' heads. Often it happened that her father left the dogs free to hunt the stubborn boys.

Calethia had no problem with it, none of them was special to her. One day, however, a merchant came to the village accompanied by his son Barim. It was not long before they both found each other and fell in love. At night Calethia sneaked out and met in secret. Under the clear starry sky on the banks of the river, there were, as so often happens among young people, moments that endangered their innocence. Barin could rob a sensual kiss at one evening. Never before has she felt as free and happy as with Him.

One night when she was about to sneak out again, she was stopped by her older brother. He warned her that it was over. Her father had invited her future husband for tomorrow. He could not look away anymore.

Furious that her own father had betrayed her so, she pushed him away and fled to her beloved. But he was no longer in the tavern and they told her that they had moved on. Helpless, angry and cheated she stood alone in the cold night. The only thing she could do was to shame her father and let someone take her innocence. She could never be married like that. In the morning, after giving herself to a drunk in the inn, she went home. There, Derrion her father waited angrily for her. Full of hate and disgust she told him what she had done. The discussion escalated while the groom arrived in front of the house. Calthia screamed louder so everyone coud here it.

But too late she realized it. The men outside the door were Barim and his father. When she understood that her father and Barim wanted to surprise her, she could do nothing. Barim's father pulled him onto the cart and drove off. Calethia ran off and hid in the fields by the shore.

When the moon appeared and the stars lit up, she had decided. With broken hearts she went into the cold river to cleanse herself. When her body became cold and she lost her strength, she slipped into the water.

Mydra the Qin of the sea herself watched the hole time. Filled with anger she raised the river and crushed the glass workshop next to it.

After the shocking events, Derrion River could not belive what he saws. There where the workshop was, was now a plane ground made out of glass. In the middle of it, was a crying Calethia as a Galss statue.

Since then the Streets of Almourol are visited by warm orbs of ligh. They are Warnings to think before acting and never to forget.
