Lore
Hundreds of years ago, in the first age, the city of Middenstedt was already so large that there was not enough food for everyone. So Gamsbert Goldenfeld moved out to farm and rear animals. He found a place not far from the city, where there was only a small grove ... He began to set up his first field and set up a first fence for his small herd. Then he lay down exhausted at night and looked up at the night sky. The overwhelming beauty of the stars captured him. Full of awe, he decided to call this place Sternenhain henceforth. The years went by and Sternenhain blossomed into a prosperous and bustling city, but this time should not last forever ...
All over Elyria the searing plague broke in and Avaland was not spared. Now the mayors of the cities Sternenhain, Bullgardt and Driftwood were bound by friendship. They did not want to idly watch as the last of their faithful citizens were killed by the plague, so they decided to merge their last powers. They all gave up their settlements and brought the remaining survivors and what remained of meager raw materials and food to a place in the county of Aranmano, which to that day had remained relatively untouched by the plague. Here they set up lodgings of huts and tents, cared for their patients, and tried not to give up hope of someday living a happy life again. So strong was their hope and so great their dream of a new beginning that they called this sanctuary Thalasia, their home. Over time, the makeshift camp grew and became a city. Although the inhabitants often looked back on their lives before the searing plague in their former settlements, they did so without regret, because in Thalasia they had not only found their happiness, they had also found solidarity and strength in the community with their neighbors. And in Thalasia the old settlement names lived on; the part of the city where the scholars settled was called Sternenhain, the woodworkers from Driftwood built their workshops side by side, and Bullgardt breeders also gathered near the city's pastures. Today, the names only give us a window into the past, because Thalasia has grown and the areas of the city are interwoven.
The Count of Bullgardt and his followers had to leave their city of Bullgardt burned to ashes and looked for something new within their county Aranmano. Much of his family had died due to the degenerate celebrations of known nobles during the plague and the surviving youngest son, though of alert mind, was more interested in livestock than politics. The joint founding of Thalasia prompted the count to hold a plebiscite to find among those whom he considered able to lead the one who had the most support from the people. Goldenfeld at that time received the most encouragement, because during the time of the plague he was able to motivate, mobilize and guide people. The old count gave up his title on the premise that his family would always have a seat on the city council. And so it came about that a Goldenfeld became a count and he called his county Kernothia .
Thus, a united Thalasia became the new capital of the county of Kernothia.
Description
Thalasia is the capital of the county of Kernothia. With its large agricultural and crafting enterprises, it is the main hub of the county. To never feel such torment and perplexity again as in the time of the searing plague, there is now also the great university, where scientists and scholars constantly research, in order to protect the county from further catastrophes in the future.
Depending on the final location and biome we will have different resources. But no matter what products we’ll craft, we’ll participate in trade! Our products are being resold and foreign merchants from far away countries are welcome in Thalasia to offer their goods.
The city should become a place of free action and thinking where everyone can pursue their own dreams and goals, where we have fun together and try to enhance and improve the city.

Politics
The settlement Thalasia has set itself the goal of becoming the linchpin for agriculture and livestock in Avaland. Our products are said to be in great demand. Furthermore, we strive to become an important transhipment hub for goods to ensure rapid transportation.
Of course, we want to ensure the education of our citizens and other interested parties. With this in mind, we hope to be able to offer our own school and have as many local guilds as possible to educate people in the academic arts or crafting trades.
Thalasia will take full advantage of the mechanics of the game and give every landowner in the city a voice in the city council that matches his land ownership. We do not want to be a dictatorship but to give everyone the opportunity to participate in shaping the city and the future.
Case of war
In case of war, the city of Thalasia is behind the Duchy of Avaland and will defend it to the end by all means. Be it with volunteers in the military or maintaining the food supply. Due to the strong nature of animal breeding, the city will also be able to provide the military with mounts and armor made by our formidable artisans.
