Legacy Gaming joins the Vornair Community as Niflheim in the Rhynelands Duchy making up a large part as well as leading the High King’s Army.
After deliberations between Freelancer , myself, the Queen, our advisors and the Thanes of the Round in the Rhynelands we have achieved an understanding that luckily for us it was more just getting a mutual understanding of what Vornair is and what Legacy is looking to do, and it ended up being an easy pairing that is mutually beneficial.
We get a unified and experienced PvP group that can act as a center point for campaigns set forth by the Rhynelands. Additionally, we get the benefit of Legacy’s proven systems that they have used in a number of games and throughout their history. We also gain some extremely experienced PvP leadership for the forces of the Rhynelands that are happy to offer their expertise and training to anyone in the Kingdom at large. Legacy historically has been known for mastering large-scale PvP. Naturally the largest benefit we will gain is a very sudden change from having the blueprint of a military that was in need of being filled with willing participants, to having a very well populated military in the Rhynelands that will attract others to fill the militaries in the other Duchies as well.
Legacy also holds their belief that sharing their tactics and training doesn’t hurt them over all, instead it makes the environment more competitive. Vorn of all levels will be encouraged to attend their training events if they wish to. These aren’t silly events led by individuals reading off of scripts, but specialties covering psychology, brevity training, small-group coordination, and much more. Legacy takes a lot of pride in their organization skills, and would love to share those skills with anyone in Vornair who is interested. Even if you are not a PvP-type, this training can be quite entertaining and very useful.
Legacy’s biggest benefits will come in having an “oversight” when it comes to the production and supply trains for the armies they train and move, as well as having the leadership of Vornair handle other non-PvP associated tasks such as politics. After numerous votes and discussions, the overarching goal of focusing more on PvP (defense and offense) and less on other things, is a huge benefit for Legacy’s members.
Vornair also offers an environment for those of Legacy who are less excited for the PvP side of the house, they are able to easily merge into those environments that are right for their desired game play without the core of Legacy having to build up those environments for them. The flexibility and autonomy provided to the Kingdom allows anyone to play the way that they wish, if there isnt an environment currently suited to your play style, create one and see it supported.
Overall the decision for Legacy to join Vornair was an easy one once it was realized that the goals on either side are very much aligned and amicable. The pairing will serve to work well for both parties for their CoE chapters. Additionally, in the time between now and the launch of CoE the Vornair community will get some fantastic practice in jumping into games and playing together as one.
Clearly our Kingdom’s motto continues to prove out it’s truth:
